According to the Nigerian Immigrations Service (NIS), the resident permits of expatriate staff of Intels Nigeria Ltd. and five other companies have been revoked for operating without a valid license within the country’s Oil and Gas Free Zone.

The other companies named as offenders are PRODECO International Ltd., West Africa Machinery Services Ltd., Net Global System International Ltd., MGM Logistics Solutions Ltd., and ORIEAN Investment Ltd.

The expatriate staff were given up to November 30, 2017 to leave Nigeria, or be deported on the orders of the Minister of Interior.

The Comptroller-General of the NIS, Muhammad Babandede, who announced the revocation order in Abuja through the agency’s spokesperson, Sunday James, said the action was pursuant to the powers vested in his office by section 39 subsection 1 of the Immigration Act 2015 and section 5, subsection 5 of the Immigration Regulation 2017.
