Labour Party holds Congress in Imo

The Imo State Chapter of the Labour Party on Tuesday held its state congress in Imo.

As at the time of filing this report the state congress is ongoing with the arrival of the Nation Chairman of the party, Alhaji A.A. Salem, four INEC staff who are on observation, representatives of the police and the DSS.

Moving the motion for the congress, Chief Nnamdi Olebara moved for the dissolution of the 8-man caretaker committee and that the congress begins.

His motion was seconded by Ugoeze Tina Roberto Amah.

The party said they were adopting the affirmation method because most of the offices being contested have one candida
