OGUN State, has disclosed that apart from establishing industrial parks in the three senatorial districts, it has also subsidised the cost of land in a bid to attract investors to the state.

Disclosing this at the Ogun State Special Day at the Lagos International Trade Fair, the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun said as a nation that had just exited recession, the continued recovery and the sustainability of the economy demanded that all hands must be on deck for Nigerians to continue to promote industrialisation which has the capacity to employ its teeming unemployed graduates and boost the economy.

He said it was pertinent for him to lend his voice to the call for a sustained effort towards the industrialization of Nigeria.

Amosun who was represented by his Deputy Governor, Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga said diversification would speed up the process of the diversification of the nation’s economy and the need to add value through the value chain of agricultural products before export.

“Industrialising the nation’s economy will no doubt all us to improve on our local production, expand export capacity and ultimately earn foreign exchange to boost and sustain the economy of the country?,” he stated.

The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Ogun State, Otunba Bimbola Ashiru disclosed that the massive infrastructural transformation of the state was geared towards catering for the good people of the state and creating a sustainable conducive environment for the business community.

“Notwithstanding the present status of the state as the industrial hub of the nation, the attraction of more investors and their influx is undisputable. The present administration in Ogun State under the leadership of Senator Ibikunle Amosun will not relent in its efforts on massive infrastructural development to cater for and sustain the needs of the various industries in its domain,” he said
