Media awards: Abia Gov. Ikpeazu congratulates Orji, Igwe

Abia State governor, Dr.Okezie Ikpeazu, has congratulated two prominent Abia sons for being honoured by The Sun Newspapers.
The sun conferred on the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, the Publicity Service Award 2020, while the Managing Director of Chrisnak Group of Companies, Prince Chris Odinaka Igwe, bagged the award of Investor Of The Year 2020.
Ikpeazu, in a congratulatory message to the duo, said the award on the Speaker as a clear validation of his sagacity which he has brought to bear in his public service and political career, especially in his present position as the Honorable Speaker of the State Assembly.
According to the Governor, the present Abia State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Chinedum Orji has become a bastion of democracy and a beacon of Executive – Legislative harmony, adding that his administration has enjoyed excellent relations with the State Assembly.
The Governor urged the Speaker to see the well deserved award as a call to even more greater service to the people of Abia State and humanity at large.
In the same vein, the Governor also sends a message of congratulations to astute businessman, describing the award as a testament to successes that have defined the businesses run by Prince Odinaka Igwe.
Describing him as a great and proud son of Abia State, Governor Ikpeazu noted that Prince Igwe was not just the ordinary businessman whose sole motivation is to make profit, but is a core believer in the ideals of corporate social responsibility.
“The Governor is grateful to Prince Igwe for always thinking home by ensuring that his businesses are well established here in Abia State, thereby providing job opportunities for our sons and daughters,” a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka.
The Governor thanked the management of Sun Newspapers for finding the two eminent sons of Abia State worthy of the awards and wished Orji and Odinaka well.
