2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup: Nigeria face France in opener, Friday
Nigeria’s female U-20 national football team, the Falconets will kick off their campaign in the FIFA Women’s World Cup with tough match against France on Friday, in Costa Rica.
The competition which officially kicked off early Wednesday, with Colombia playing against Germany, will see the Nigerian women confront France in a match set to be played late night on Friday (12midnight, Nigeria time).
As at Wednesday’s opening day, four game were been played which saw hosts, Colombia shockingly beat Germany 1-0, while New Zealand played a 1-1 draw with Mexico at the Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela.
On Thursday, Spain played a goalless draw with Brazil, while Australia defeated hosts, Costa Rica by 3-1 at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica in San Jose.

En route to securing qualification to the biennial African football showpiece, the Falconets saw off Central African Republic, Congo, Cameroon and Senegal to book at the tournament
