2023: Enugu North women rally for Ugwuanyi, pledge massive votes for him

Women in Enugu North Senatorial District have held solidarity rally in support of the 2023 senatorial election of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and pledged to vote him massively to ensure victory.
Mrs Mercy Ugwuagbo, the Director General of a group under the aegis of “Nsukka Noble Women for Gburus 2023′ (NNWG 2023) made their position know, on Monday, in Nsukka.
Ugwuagbo, said that, the group memberships were drawn from women from all wards in the district with the target of securing landslide victory for Ugwuanyi and other PDP candidates in coming general elections.
She said they organised the rally to express their appreciation to the governor who appointed many women in the district to numerous positions in his administration.
“NNWG 2023 is mobilising women in the district to ensure that Ugwuanyi scored 99 per cent of votes to be cast to enable him emerge as senator of the zone in 2023.
“If you check records of voting in the country especially in Enugu North district, you will know that women have majority of votes cast in every election.
“That is why any candidate women endorsed usually emerge victorious in any election and 2023 will not be an exception,” she said.
She said not only that Ugwuanyi administration favoured women in appointments; he also recorded massive infrastructural projects in every community in the district.
“Ugwuanyi provided massive infrastructures in Enugu North district and as such, deserves our maximum support in his 2023 senatorial bid
“In terms of social amenities, the district was lagging behind before but the emergence of Ugwuanyi as the state governor has changed the narrative.
“Now the area can boost of good rural and urban roads network, basic amenities, well-equipped modern hospitals in all the local government in the district as well as community health centres, “she said
According to her, Ugwuanyi attracted Federal Polytechnic Obodo, build the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo-Eno, in the district that would provide thousands of jobs for our people and others.
The DG disclosed that, women decided to take the governor’s senatorial campaign to rural dwellers to ensure that all votes from the district will be for him and other PDP candidates.
“To ensure victory for Ugwuanyi in the forthcoming election, NNWG 2023 today inaugurated a 3-woman committee for each political ward in the district who will campaign for votes for Ugwuanyi and other PDP candidates.
“They will also educate those in the rural areas where and how to collect their permanent voter’s card, show them the logo of PDP so that they will vote correctly,” she said
