2023 : Enugu PDP constitutes 1795-member campaign council

The Enugu State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted Election Campaign Council for the 2023 general election.
Addressing a press conference in Enugu on Tuesday, the Director General, Peter Mbah Campaign Organization, Chief Ikeje Asogwa, said that the 1795 council members are expected to plan and manage the campaign of the party at all levels in the state.
Asogwa who will be heading the council said Dr. Eric Nwanedo doubles as both the secretary general of the campaign organization and the council, with Rita Mba, coordinating the women.
He also disclosed that Former secretary to the Enugu State Government, Dr. Dan Shere, is the Deputy Director, Enugu North senatorial Zone with Hon. Okey Ogbodo and Hon. Ogbuefi Ozomgbachi as Deputy Directors Enugu East Senatorial Zone and Enugu West senatorial Zone respectively.
Other members according to him are Kingsley Udeh and Onyekachi Igwu who will be heading the mainstream media and new media committees respectively.
He said Chief Nana Ogbodo will be working as the public communications and campaign spokesperson.
He revealed that the local government campaign council for the 17 local government areas were also constituted.
According to Asogwa, “the commencement of the campaigns at the development centres is Aninri local government area.
