2023: Knock on all doors, forge a narrative for our victory, Ikpeazu tells 26-man Advisory Council

Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has inaugurated a 26-man Advisory Council for the 2023 campaigns in the state, with a charge to the members to fancy door-to-door campaigns to convince Abians to vote the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) back to power in the state next year.
Ikpeazu, who performed the inauguration of the Council at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Umuahia last Friday, barely 24 hours after inaugurating the State PDP Campaign Council ahead of the forthcoming general elections, also urged Advisory Council to explore the weaknesses of opposing political parties and forge a narrative that would shoot PDP to victory.
According to the Governor, there was no other party in Abia with the capacity and potentials like the PDP and expressed confidence in the ability of members of the Advisory Council to lead the party to victory.
The Council could achieve this, Ikpeazu maintained, by evolving a strategy that would bring about total victory for the party in the coming elections, including identifying faults and weaknesses of contending parties and forging a narrative to drive PDP to the top of the 2023 elections score board.
He added that they should embark on door-to-door campaign, especially at the grassroots.
He added that the Council must ensure genuine reconciliation of all aggrieved members and expressed confidence that with their support; PDP would deliver all its candidates in the 2023 general elections.
In his speech, the PDP Governorship Candidate, Prof Uche Ikonne, thanked the Governor and the party leadership for creating the right atmosphere for the party to record victory in the forthcoming general elections and pledged not to disappoint Abians if elected governor of the state.
In their separate speeches, the PDP Board of Trustee (BoT) Chairman, Chief Adolphus Wabara, Chief Charles Ogbonnaya and Lady Victoria Akanwa thanked the leadership of the party for finding them worthy to serve in the council and assured that they would bring g their wealth of experience to bear to ensure victory for the party.
Responding on behalf of the Council, the Chairman, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, appreciated Ikpeazu for the opportunity given them to serve and assured that they would work towards genuine reconciliation of all aggrieved members, as well as ensuring total victory for the party in next year’s polls.
The Advisory Council has Chief Uzodinma Okpara as the Deputy Chairman, and Barr. Paul Ananaba (SAN) as its Secretary.
Other members of the council include Immediate Past Governor of the State, Sen. T.A Orji, PDP BOT Chairman, Chief Adolphus Wabara, Former Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon Eric Acho Nwakama, Lady Victoria Akanwa, Chief Tony Ukasanya, Chief Onyema Ugochukwu, Chief Charles Ogbonnaya and Chief Ray Nkemdirim, among others.
Present at the inauguration include the State Working Committee of the party, PDP Deputy Governorship candidate for the 2023 elections,Chief Okey Igwe, Members of the Abia State Executive Council, the DG, PDP Campaign Council, Chief Chinedum Elechi and some stakeholders of the party.
