2023: Mascot has competence, capacity to turn Abia around – Ohafia stakeholders

Over 700 Leaders of thought and stakeholders in Ohafia Local Government Area have declared their support for the governorship candidate of Action People’s Party (APP) in Abia State, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, in his quest to become the next governor of God’s Own State.
The stakeholders comprising community leaders, traditional leaders, politicians, youths and women, said that Mascot Uzor Kalu was the most prepared governorship candidate for the 2023 gubernatrial race, adding that he has the competence, experience and political will to turn Abia around in the shortest possible time.
They, therefore, urged Abians to elect him overwhelmingly ahead of others for greater development of the state.
The stakeholders made their stand public through a statement signed by Chief Offia Kalu Okoro, Dr. David Ndukwo and Hon. Orji Ndukwe who are prominent leaders of Ohafia, Abiriba and Nkporo respectively, the three calns that make up Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
In the statement released on Tuesday, January 16, 2023, on behalf of 700 other, the stakeholders noted that Mascot Uzor Kalu’s managerial skill, competency, and exposure put him in the best position to succeed Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
“Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, being a former Chief of Staff to the Governor, consummate businessman, a renowned economist, technocrat, philanthropist, and, above all, coming from Abia North Senatorial District, is the most prepared candidate to succeed Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
“He has acquired a wealth of bureaucratic experience spanning over 20 years and has garnered extensive Insight into the business of administration and planning. His antecedents for exemplary leadership are glaring and he continues to personify humility despite his family background.
“To steady the ship of God’s Own State, Abians must elect a candidate who has the capacity and demonstrated ability to deliver as governor in 2023. Mascot Uzor Kalu is a trailblazer, result-oriented leader with a proven track record that can turn around the state within a short period of time.
“He is a courageous leader who is capable of leading Abia State to Eldorado. Ohafia Local Government Area is solidly behind him since we believe it is the turn of Abia North. He is the most prepared and competent candidate to succeed Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in 2023,” the statement read in part.
