2023: Obi, Datti visit ex-president Jonathan in Abuja
Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 General Elections, Dr Peter Obi and his running mate, Dr Yusuf Datti, Baba-Ahmed, Wednesday, visited former President Dr Goodluck Jonathan at his Abuja home.
Obi who confirmed the visit in a short statement posted on his official Facebook page, said the visit bordered on ‘issues of national interest.’
Obi, accompanied by Baba-Ahmed, described the visit as a cordial one, adding that he briefed the former President on the progress of their presidential campaign and also exchanged ideas on issues of national interest.
“President Goodluck Jonathan received Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and I, last night. The visit was very cordial. We briefed him on the progress of our presidential campaign, and also exchanged views on several issues of national interest. Grateful for his time and wise counsel,” read the statement.
