Former Secretary to Ebonyi State Government, Professor Benard Ifeanyichukwu Odoh has emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for the 2023 election in Ebonyi State.
The Chairman of the Electoral Panel, Mr Olalere Samson declared Odoh who emerged unopposed with 513 votes winner.
The primary election was conducted at the APGA State secretariat, along Enugu/Abakaliki expressway on Sunday.
Mr Olalere said that all the 513 delegates accredited for the election voted for Odoh.
In his acceptance speech, Odoh urged the people of the state to support APGA to promote regional political economy for the South East zone.
“Exactly one year today, I will be sworn in as the next Governor of Ebonyi State. I’m deeply honoured to have been found fit to fly the flag of APGA in Ebonyi state. I hereby accept this offer and count myself to ensure that our party wins Ebonyi State”.
“Let me say it very clear to Ebonyi people, APGA is our own party. It belongs to our region. The only way we can begin to make real progress is to support regional political economy. PDP is already in crisis. They are possibly going to have two candidates in Ebonyi. APC has two candidates too”,Odoh said.
