2023:Opone predicts landslide victory for APC in Delta

From JONATHAN AWANYAI, Asaba

High Chief Johnson Opone, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and candidate for Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency has predicted a landslide victory for the party in the 2023 general elections in Delta State.

Opone made this prediction while fielding questions from journalists at
Saint Georges Grammar School, Obinomba in Ukwuani Local Government Area, Delta State, where he had accompanied the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege for the groundbreaking ceremony of series of projects.
According to him, Omo-Agege’s dedication to good governance and democratic growth remains outstanding.
Chief Opone opined that the Deputy Senate President has been able to carve a niche for himself politically through many developmental projects he has attracted to his senatorial district and other parts of the State while at the National Assembly.
He believes that if given the opportunity to govern Delta State, Omo-Agege will bring his wealth of experience to bear in ensuring that Delta State becomes the envy of other states in the country.
He maintained that Omo-Agege has the capacity to turn things around and restore the past glory of Delta State after years of alleged misrule.
The financial expert also urged residents of Delta State to partake in the ongoing Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVR) exercise to enable them change the narrative of bad governance in the State.
While expressing confidence that Ndokwa people will vote out the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State come 2023, he stated that the people of constituency are yearning for a better representative and he is in the race to ensure better representation.
Adding that his varied experience in private and public life has imbued him with requisite insights, experiences and network of relationships adequate to provide quality and effective representation at the National Assembly.
