2027: Forum passes vote of confidence on Gov. Otu

Aides of the Cross River State governor Senator Bassey Otu have kick started the campaign for 2027 by endorsing their principal for the race.
The aides under the Special Advisers Forum say the governor has performed exceptionally in office this far and passed a resounding vote of confidence in him.
Enumerating the governor’s achievements during a press conference in Calabar, Chairman of the Forum, Ekpenyong Akiba enumerated numerous transformations projects by the governor.
“Governor Otu has revived the Adiabo Eseku road which has been abandoned for decades by the federal government.
“Besides this, the governor has successfully recovered Tinapa Business Resort and is presently the property of the state government.
“Governor Otu has proven to be a leader with a difference and so we at the Special Advisers Forum unanimously pass a vote of Confidence on him ahead of 2027”, he said.
He also disclosed that due to the stellar performance of the governor, opposition parties no longer exist in the state.
He said this is because they have been accommodated in the state and have seen reason to work with the government and think Cross River State.
Also speaking, Raphael Adoga, the Special Adviser on Project monitoring, said the governor has intervened massively in rural roads in the northern senatorial district.
He listed some projects to include Obudu Airport, Ndok rehabilitation and about 20 interventions in healthcare in the area.
Gilbert Agbor, Special Adviser on Asset Recovery said the governor is constructing a 470 million naira medical centre in the central senatorial district among other development projects.
Effiong Ekpenyong Special Adviser Event Management listed projects in the South including Bakassi Deep Seaport, railway project, tourism and many others.
