Shehu Sani joins PDP, lines up for Kaduna governorship ticket
Former senator representing Kaduna Central in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani has officially joined the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Sani announced his move, Thursday, after weeks of several meetings with chieftains of the main opposition party.
It would be recalled that only last month, Sani resigned his membership of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) which he joined to contest the 2019 General Elections having lost his seat during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries.
Sani who was senator under the platform of the APC, has now switched from the PRP to the PDP.
The former senator had met with chieftains of the PDP before now, including Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
He also reportedly met with all 23 PDP local government chairmen in Kaduna State last month to devise a strategy for the 2023 elections.
