Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gubernatorial candidate for the November 6, Anambra governorship election, on Thursday, paid a condolence visit to the family of Mr Ezenwa Bennett Nwokenagu, APGA Chairman Ward 1, in Uruagu, Nnewi North LGA who lost his life during a violent attack;
Soludo was received at the Uruagu home of the deceased by the Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North LGA, Rt. Hon Prince Chukwudi Orizu and the LG party Chairman, Chief Chike Agwuncha with other party faithfuls
While commiserating with the widow, children and family members, Cee Cee Soludo described the late Ward Chairman, popularly known as ‘Eze B’, as a committed and diligent party man who contributed immensely to the growth of the party in the local government
He told the wife and children that the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano also extends his deepest condolences on behalf of the government to the family
He enjoined the family to take heart as Christians by committing everything into the hands of God. He thereafter prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest
The former CBN Governor had also earlier extended his deepest condolences to the families of Dr Chike Akunyili who was also killed in Nkpor, Idemili North LGA and others who equally lost their lives in various attacks across the State
While commiserating with the families of the deceased, Soludo condemned strongly the incessant attacks on innocent citizens of the State.
He said as the light of the nation, Anambra has always been the home of peace and tranquility for all.
He therefore enjoined Ndi Anambra to shun all forms of violence and embrace peace at all times as he prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed.
