Edo PDP crisis takes new twist, as 12 ward chairmen, others, reject suspension of Oredo LGA party chairman
Crisis appears to be brewing in the Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as party chieftains have dissociated themselves from another purported suspension saga.
This is as elected executive members, all the 12 ward chairmen of the PDP in Oredo Local Government Area have disassociated themselves from the purported suspension of the Chairman of the PDP in Oredo Local Government Area, Comrade Oduwa Igbinosun, and a member of House of Representatives, Hon Ogbeide Ihama.
The party leaders and stakeholders have subsequently passed a vote of implicit confidence in the affected party stakeholders in Edo State chapter of the ruling party in the state.
They cautioned those stoking fire in the state PDP to desist from further acts, threatening that the trouble shooters may be consumed in the inferno.
It would be recalled that a similar incident occurred last week when leaders of the party in Edo North reportedly suspended the National Vice Chairman for South South Zone, Chief Dan Orbih, along with six others, for alleged anti-party activities.
However, few days late the state chapter distanced itself from the move, just as the national body in Abuja, nullified the suspension of Orbih, along with six other top shots of the party from the zone.
