Soludo wins Anambra guber polls

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the former CBN governor Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo winner of the 2021 Anambra State governorship election.
This followed the completion of supplementary election earlier scheduled for Ihiala local government area of the state,where election did not hold on Saturday, November 6,2021.
The INEC had declared the election inconclusive on Monday and fixed November 9,2021, for supplementary election in Ihiala LGA.
The Chief Returning Officer of the 2021 gubernatorial election in the State and Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor Florence Obi while declaring Professor Soludo the winner, said he polled a total number of 112,229 votes to emerge winner of the election.
The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Valentine Ozigbo, came second with a total of 53,807 votes while Senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came a distant third with a total if 43,285 votes.
