United Nigeria Airlines opens for business at Anambra International Cargo Airport (Photos)
Indigenous carrier, the United Nigeria Airlines has made do its promise to commence flight operations to the Anambra International Cargo Airport, in Umuleri, as it landed its first batch of passengers at the facility, Saturday.
It would be recalled that the airline, which is also the latest entrant into the commercial aviation sectors in the country had on Friday, announced a Saturday, December 18 commencement date for operations into the newly-commissioned airport in Anambra State, as it assured of serving ‘its teeming customers faithfully and satisfactorily.’
A statement signed by the Head, Corporate Communications, Achilleus-Chud Uchegbe , explained that the airline will operate scheduled regular flights from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja and Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos to the brand new Anambra airport on Saturdays and Sundays in the immediate.
Other flight schedules, he said will be announced shortly.
He disclosed that already, booking portals and reservations for ticket sales have been opened on www.flyunitednigeria.com for the commencement of operations.
He assured United Nigeria Airlines customers of prompt service to unite them with their loved ones and families during the Christmas season and after.
Also, United Nigeria Airlines wishes its customers a fulfilling yuletide and greater fulfillment in the New Year.
On Saturday, passengers disembarked at the Anambra airport from the United Nigeria Airlines signaling the commencement of business.
The touchdown was also celebrated with fanfare as passengers and airline management staff, along with ground staff cut the cake to mark the occasion.
