Gov. Ugwuanyi mourns late ex-MILAD, Col. Obi, visits family

Enugu Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has mourned the death of the former Military Administrator (MILAD) of Osun and Abia states, Colonel Anthony Uzoma Obi (rtd).
Col. Obi, who hailed from Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State died on Saturday, January 1, 2022.
Ugwuanyi also visited the family of the deceased at their Enugu residence to condole with them, in company of the member representing Nkanu West/Nkanu East Federal Constituency, Hon. Nnolim Nnaji.
The governor described late Col. Obi as an illustrious son of Enugu State who distinguished himself creditably in his career as a brave top military officer. Ugwuanyi further acknowledged Col. Obi’s selfless service and immeasurable contributions to nation building especially his legacies in Osun and Abia states where he served meritoriously as military governor.
He prayed for the repose of Col. Obi’s gentle soul.
The governor promised that the Government of Enugu State would fully participate in every aspect of his burial.
