UK resumes Priority Visa services in Nigeria, keeps SPV on hold
United Kingdom Government, through its Visa and Immigration department, has announced resumption of its priority visa (PV) services in Nigeria, which was suspended in the wake of the surge in the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
A statement confirming the development issued by the UK Mission in Nigeria, Wednesday afternoon, said it will however, ‘not resume offering a Super Priority Visa (SPV) service for the time being.’
The priority visa service, according to the UK Government resumes from January 24 2022, but will be for work and study status.
“From 24 January, TLS will resume offering Priority Visa (PV) Services in our Nigerian visa application centres (VACs).
“PV services will only be available to customers applying at VACs in Nigeria in work and study routes. These services will only be available via the TLS website and ca be purchased when making a VAC appointment.
“Due to the continued impact of Covid-19 on courier routes, UKVI are only able to resume offering PV services in Nigeria at this time. UKVI will not resume offering a Super Priority Visa (SPV) service for the time being.
“We will keep priority visa under review and hope to be able to reinstate further services in due course,” the United Kingdom Visa and Immigration statement read.
