2023: Peter Obi, Ebonyi people won’t vote for you–Umahi

Governor Umahi on Monday said the people of Ebonyi State won’t vote for the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, rather, they will vote for the Presidential candidate of the APC, Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu, in the 2023 general elections.
Umahi spoke at a meeting with the representatives of Traditional rulers, Town Union Presidents and the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ebonyi State chapter, at the Government House, Centenary city, Abakaliki.
Umahi said he owed nobody apology for taking such stance.
He said the present APC leadership in Nigeria had done a lot for Ebonyi State, and challenged any State who had received any upliftment from Labour Party to go ahead and vote for it.
Umahi said:”Our Party in Ebonyi State is not Labour Party. We will vote for for APC, the party that is doing all these things for us.
“Any State that Labour Party has helped, vote for it. Our votes belong to APC.”
The Governor who frowned at the poor voter registration statics across the local government areas of the State threatened that he would sack all Commissioners from any Local government area which records less than 30,000 new voter registrants before 30th June INEC deadline.
“Everybody should go back home to make sure that all register. How can we change our situation if we can’t register? “We have to take this voter registration serious. Make calls to your brothers and sisters outside to come and register” Umahi said
