Don’t go get anyone money on our behalf, IPOB Warns Public

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has cautioned against given anyone money on its behalf, saying it never authorized anyone to do so.
A statement signed by its media and publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, on Tuesday, said the warning became pertinent following worrisome information coming to it that people were going around collecting money from politicians with the name of Eastern Security Network (ESN).
According to IPOB, no politicians, businessmen and religious leaders should for any reason part with money to anyone flashing the name of ESN security outfit without following the proper channels.
“We encourage our people to report anyone masquerading as IPOB-ESN using any trick to collect money from people to any IPOB family. Anyone giving money to such criminals maybe ignorantly funding criminal activities against our land and people”, added.
It said IPOB leadership had never authorized, threatened or coarsed anyone to support ESN, adding that such people going doing that are scammers it insisted.
It pleaded with politicians in the Eastern States to stop encouraging criminalities and focus on liberating the land given to them by God Almighty.
“There is only one ESN under IPOB with disciplined and powerful leadership globally known as the Directorate Of State (DOS) who’s structural leadership pattern is “Command and Control.”
It warned all those going round to defraud people to desist, otherwise, they would face the wrath of IPOB.
“There’s no consultant, taskforce, middlemen nor group appointed by the Directorate of State of the Indigenous People Of Biafra for fund drive. Any time we decide to have other channels of raising funds for ESN Volunteers in their continuous effort to secure our land such information will always be put to the public domain and subsequently announced though Radio Biafra.
“At this moment, the only channel for any monetary support for ESN is through IPOB leadership (DOS). Those who genuinely want to support our Homeland Security should contact IPOB-DOS through the appreciate channels”, it added.
