Enugu CP woos security agencies on collaboration against insecurity

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Ahmed Ammani, has visited heads of other security agencies in the State for familiarization and to seek more collaboration and cordial working relationships to tackle insecurity in the State.
In separate remarks during the visits, Mr Ammani appreciated the heads of the security agencies for the existing collaborative and result-oriented cordial working relationships between the Police and their respective agencies.
He observed that the dynamics of the rising insecurity in the country in general and the State in particular, were such that require enhanced and unbroken collaboration amongst the various security agencies in tackling them.
Our Correspondent reports that the various heads of the security agencies visited assured the CP of their continued collaboration and cordial working relationships with the Police.
They noted that regardless of the agencies’ individual mandates, the overall and collective goal of ensuring public security, peace and order in the State is such that the security agencies must continue to collaborate towards achieving.
Amongst those visited by the Commissioner include the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 82 Division of the Nigerian Army Enugu; the Commander, 553 Base Services Group of the Nigerian Air Force Enugu; the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS); and the State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). Others are the Controller of Corrections, Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
Others ate the Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the Sector Commander, RS9.1 Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC); and the State Comptroller, Nigerian Immigration Service.
The Commissioner was accompanied on the visits by some members of his Management Team and Staff Officers of the Command.
