Tinubu and Shettima candidacy for the 2023 General Election
2023: Ambode, Lalong ,others to deliberate on how to ensure victory for Tinubu/Shettima
The All Progressives Congress(APC) Professionals’ Council, is assembling key chieftains of the party to brainstorm on ways to secure victory for the Presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima in the forthcoming general election.
Among the APC chieftains selected to this effect are Director General of APC Presidential Campaign Council and Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode and other prominent members of the party.
National Director General of the APC Professionals’ Council, Seyi Bamigbade disclosed this during an interaction with journalists in Lagos at the weekend.
Bamigbade said the event, which is organised by the APC Professionals’ Council, will hold on January 25, 2023, at Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos, adding that the programme coincides with the National Conference of APC Professionals’ Council.
He said the national engagement is ‘carefully tailored to bring critical stakeholders together to engage communities of young Nigerians and professionals to support Tinubu’s Presidential bid along with his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.
“The engagement will have in attendance the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Akinwumi Ambode, as the lead paper presenter and the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council Director General, His Excellency, Simon Lalong, as the guest speaker.
“Other prominent Nigerians who are critical stakeholders have been invited from within and outside the country to take part in the national engagement, including Chief Pius Akinyelure, Presidential Campaign Council Patron,’’ he said.
