By Oliver Udeogu
The Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has tasked the Ubah family on sustaining the good name of their late father, Comrade Peter Nkachukwu Ubah.
He gave the charge during the burial mass at St Peter’s Clavers Catholic Church, Otolo Nnewi.
Late Ubah who died at the age of 82, was the father of the Transition Committee Chairperson for Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Amaka Obi.
The governor who emphasized that the late Ubah lived a good life, asked the family to sustain the legacies of the deceased, while describing the occasion as celebration of a life well lived by the deceased.
While emphasizing that Anambra will continue to grow in all facets of development and human endeavour, Governor Soludo prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Ubah.
In a homily, the Chaplain of St. Luke’s Chaplaincy Nnamdi Azikiwe Unibersity Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Rev. Fr. Anthony Kizito Okonkwo spoke on the notion that ‘a good name is better than riches’.
According to the Clergy, anyone who loves and follows Jesus Christ understands this principle.
“To the family, no matter the tributes you give to your late father, the most important thing is for you to ensure that one of your father’s Legacies- his good name, is sustained”, Rev Fr. Okonkwo admonished.
The Senator representing Anambra South, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, members of Anambra State Executive Council, Transition Committee Chairmen, family friends and well wishers, were among the dignitaries that attended the mass.
