2023: PDP guber candidate pledges to transform Ebonyi

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Ebonyi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday, pledged to industrialize Ebonyi State when elected as Governor.
Odii spoke at Ameka community, during the kick off of the PDP Local Government Campaign rally in Ezza South Council Area of the state.
The Governorship hopeful said he had touched many lives of Ebonyi people as an ordinary citizen through his foundation known as Ebele and Anyichuks Foundation.
He assured that with a bigger resources at his disposal as a governor, he would better lots of the people of Ebonyi state.
He said: “If anybody said he or she wants to be our governor, ask that person, who are you and what have you done for the benefit of other people around him/her? Ask Anyichuks, what have I done that qualifies me to be a governor? I will show you that in the last eight years, I have been able to touch lives through the foundation, I co-founded with my wife.
“We’ve built schools, churches, given standard capitals to the indigents, a lot of other people, and if God helps us, the suffering of Ebonyi people shall come to an end. Even in Ezza land here, we’ve built houses for the indigents, our footprints are here.”
Odii maintained that his antecedents speaks volumes for him, and makes the most qualified to be the next Governor.
“Whatever we said we have done, go and check out, we have done it. I said, we have built over 150 houses for the indigents, built schools, churches, given free medical outreach to different communities, farm inputs, scholarships, and they are verifiable. What do you want from a governor? You should support a candidate with a human face.”
He insisted that if elected as the state governor come 11th March governorship polls, he would embark on massive empowerment for both youth and women.
He promised to reform the civil service system of the state and education sector among other projects that would be beneficial to Ebonyi citizens.
“Our government will bring empowerment to the youths, we are going to encourage our women through a robust empowerment, bring total reform to the civil service.
“Our government will bring a total reformation to our education system. It’s a government that will not at any point in time owe salary to the workers. We are going to give promotion to the civil servants as at and when due. We are going to run a government that will pay gratuity, pension, and take well-being of Ebonyians seriously.
“This government under our watch by God’s grace will Industrialize Ebonyi state, so that every child born in Ebonyi state after graduating from school will be able have job and again to remove all our brothers and sisters from the street as hawkers in major cities across the country.”
The Director-general of the PDP, Chief Austin Igwe-Edeze, maintained that Ebonyi is a PDP stronghold and had no doubt that the party would win the 2023 general elections at all levels.
