Nigeria, Germany sign agreement for €16.9m health project grant
Nigerian and Germany have reached an agreement over a €16.9m grant for Reproductive Health and Pandemic Resilience project.
Under the agreement, the German government would support Nigeria by improving the quality of life of women and girls and, by extension, the generality of the Nigerian population.
Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Clem Agba, signed for the Nigerian government while the KFW Development Bank and Marie Stopes International Organisation Nigeria, MSION’s Country Director, Emmanuel Ajah signed for Germany.
Remarking at the event, in Abuja, Mr Agba stated that the Nigeria National Development Plan 2021-2025 identified the issues of women as part of the cardinal objectives for promoting healthy habits, healthy behaviours and lifestyles across all life stages.
“The implementation of the Project would further deepen and promote effective partnership between Nigeria and Germany,” Agba said.
