Governor Otti announces appointment of 22 aides
…Appointees include 10 Special Advisers, 9 Senior Special Assistants, 2 Special Assistants, Chief of Protocol

Abia State governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has named 22 aides to help him in piloting the affairs of the state.
The appointment of the 10, new Special Advisers, nine Senior Special Assistants, two Special Assistants and the Chief of Protocol were made public via a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Kazie Uko.
“The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has appointed the following persons into the underlisted positions, effective today, June 1, 2023,” Uko stated.
The new Special Advisers and their portfolios are:
Mr. Michael Akpara – Special Adviser on Finance
Professor Uche Eme Uche – Special Adviser on Education
Professor Joel F. Ogbonna – Special Adviser on Petroleum and Energy
Mr. Chimereze Okigbo – Special Adviser on Internally Generated Revenue
Mr. Uzor Nwachukwu – Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs
Mr. Kingsley Anosike – Special Adviser on Planning and Strategy
Rev Father Christian Uche Anokwuru, PhD – Special Adviser on Policies and Interventions
Mr. Okey Kanu – Special Adviser on Strategic Communication
Navy Commander Macdonald Ubah (Rtd) – Special Adviser on Security
Dr. Chimezie Ukaegbu – Special Adviser on Trade and Commerce
Those in the Senior Special Assistants category include:
Mr. Uwanna Ikechukwu – Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters
Dr. Clifford C. Agbaeze – Senior Special Assistant on Agriculture
Mr. Uche Ukeje – Senior Special Assistant on Aba Rejuvenation

The statement by the Chief press Secretary also disclosed that Mr. Uche Mark Nwosu was appointed the Chief of Protocol.
