Zelenskyy accuses Putin of planning nuclear scare

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has accused his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, of planning a nuclear scare at the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant to deter the advance of counteroffensive forces against the invading country.
The Oracle Today reports that Russian soldiers currently occupy the massive nuclear power facility after invading the country and seizing significant territories east of Ukraine.
In a media chat with ABC news while in the United States for the ongoing meeting of NATO members assisting his country with ordinances and logistics in countering the Russian invasion, President Zelenskyy stated that counteroffensive by the Ukrainian forces had gained significant momentum in pushing back Russian forces.
He expressed concerns that the Russian troops whom he said were losing grounds might sabotage the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant to slow Ukrainian advances and cause global nuclear scare. He said Russia would need the scare to force the global community convince Ukraine to cede territories.
Zelenskyy said Russia’s war with Ukraine is going so poorly and might cause a local explosion in order to stop Ukrainian operations on the battlefield.
“If they are going to lose more initiative than they have lost at the moment, they will make some additional steps in order to make the entire world be afraid of the global nuclear disaster and halt all military actions on the battlefield.”
Russia’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday accused Kyiv of “systematic infliction of damage” to the Zaporizhzhia plant and warned of the possible fallout from a catastrophe there. In the ABC interview, Zelenskyy said Ukraine is prepared for a possible disaster there.
Zelenskyy said Ukraine remains adamant that would not yield any territory to Russia to end the war, including Crimea, which was seized in 2014. “No territory,” he vowed.
