Tinubu swears in three new ministers
President Bola Tinubu on Monday inaugurated three new ministers who were recently screened and cleared by the Senate.
The ministers inaugurated are Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Kwara State) Ayodele Olawande (Ondo) and Balarabe Abbas Lawal (Kaduna State).
They were inaugurated at the same time by President Tinubu after their recitations before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
President Bola Tinubu on Monday has sworn in three new Ministers whose nominations were recently confirmed by the Senate.
With the inauguration of the three new Ministers, President Tinubu’s administration now has 48 ministers in the cabinet.
Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim is to serve as the Minister of Youth while Ayodele Olawande (Ondo) will serve as the Minister of State for Youth. Balarabe Abbas Lawal is to serve as the Minister of Environment.
Thereafter, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume announced the demise of Nigeria’s first Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun, who passed on 1st of July.
The late Chief Ajose-Adeogun was a two-time Federal Commissioner for Cooperatives and Supply before his appointment as the Federal Commissioner for Special Duties in charge of the Federal Capital Development Authority.
He superintended over the planning and the design of the Master Plan of Abuja during his time as the FCT Minister.
The Council mourned Chief Ajose-Adeogun who died at the age of 96 .
He was appointed the Minister of Federal Capital in 1976 by the Murtala Mohammed military administration and served in the position till 1979.
