‘Village Headmaster’ icon, Dejumo Lewis dies at 80
Veteran movie actor and star of the defunct ‘Village Headmaster’ comedy series on the Nigerian Television Network (NTA), Dejumo Lewis, better known as Kabiyesi, has died at the age of 80.

The actor died, Saturday, December 23, and is survived by his children and grandchildren, who, along with the rest of his family, are undoubtedly mourning the loss of a patriarch.
The news was confirmed by fellow actor Sa’id Balogun in an emotional post on Instagram on Saturday, December 23, 2023.
Dejumo Lewis, also attained fame in the Nollywood industry as he starred on memorable roles in critically acclaimed films such as “A Place in the Stars” (2014), “Crossroads” (2020), and “Power of 1” (2018).
His versatile acting skills and charismatic on-screen presence endeared him to many audiences.
While the specific details surrounding the circumstances of Dejumo Lewis’s death remain undisclosed, Sa’id Balogun’s tribute has become a catalyst for an outpouring of condolences and cherished memories from both dedicated fans and fellow colleagues in the entertainment industry.
