Comrad Ogbuehi presented to Oguta LGA as Eze -elect Egbuoma
It was jubilation galore at the council headquarters Oguta as the people of Egbuoma led by the Executive of Egbuoma Progressive Union presented Dr Comrad Ogbuehi to Oguta Local Government Area (LGA) as their Eze-elect.
Addressing the people, the Director of Administration and General Services (DAGS), Mr Victor Ayozie , commended the people of Egbuoma for taking the right steps and for exhibiting maturity and peaceful disposition in the process of selecting a new traditional ruler for the community.
Mr Ayozie cautioned leaders in the community against double standards but to apply wisdom,patriotism and fear of God in the ezeship process to ensure peace and harmony, stressing that as a border community and home to many successful figures, the people should not indulge in acts that could aggravate insecurity.
The DAGS urged the community to key into the Shared Prosperity,3-R Administration of Senator Hope Uzodinma to ensure dividends of democracy and advised youths of the area to shun acts capable of tarnishing the image of the community such as banditry,cultism, kidnapping and abuse of hard drugs but to take advantage of the various youth empowerment programmes of Governor Uzodinma Administration.
He promised to forward their documents and request to appropriate state authorities without delay for anticipated speedy action.
Presenting the Eze-elect, the Vice President General of the community, Nze Ugochukwu Remigius Nwanonyere, thanked Oguta LGA and the state government for creating the enabling environment for the selection of their Eze-elect.
He described the Eze-elect Ogbuehi as a patriotic, pragmatic, God-fearing and peaceful gentleman of proven integrity and gave the assurance that with him as their Royal Father,Egbuoma will be liberated from the shackles of underdevelopment and years of neglect.
A community leader, Zach Ijeoma appealed to the management of Oguta LGA to assist them in the speedy actualization of the desire of 95 percent of the people of Egbuoma to have Dr Comrad Ogbuehi as their traditional ruler and thanked the Eze-elect for accepting to serve his community in spite of his exalted position as a Bishop of a Worldwide Pentecostal church.
The Eze-elect Comrad Ogbuehi expressed gratitude to the people of Egbuoma for finding him worthy to serve and promised to provide them with a progressive and purposeful leadership whenever government gives approval for his coronation.
He appealed to them to remain law abiding and support the policies and programmes of the local and state governments.
