Constituency Projects: 2 boreholes for Ohafia communities inaugurated
*As Lawmaker Empoers 400 Vulnerable Constituents with N6m

Two twin solar-powered boreholes attracted by the member representing Ohafia South State Constituency in Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Kalu Mba Nwoke, for Amaekpu and Asaga have been inaugurated.
The lawmaker also used the opportunity of inauguration of the constituency projects in the two communities of Ohafia in Ohiafia local government area, to empower 400 vulnerable persons with N6 million.
Disbursement of the money marked the end of activities lined up for the commissioning of the two boreholes.
At the inauguration of the borehole in Asaga Ohafia, the Deputy National Chairman of Labour Party, Chief Ceekay Igara, who made the cash presentation, commended Nwoke for “choosing projects that meet the pressing need of his constituents.
“As a party that means well for the people, our business with the boreholes has not ended.We will monitor them everyday to ensure they run as expected or else they will be useless,” Igara said.
Speaking during the ceremony, Mba, who is the chairman, House Committee on Environment and Urban Renewal, said the projects were tailored to meet the people’s pressing needs.
“These projects were conceived to meet the people’s pressing need for portable water. By the grace of God, we will, in no distant time, extend similar gesture to other communities based on their needs,” he assured.
Mba, a former Councillor for Ohafor Ward and Deputy Leader of Ohafia Legislative Council, thanked the people for their support.
In his remark, the Ezie Ogo of the community, Oba Ukah, represented by Chief Okorie Uduma, said that portable water has been one of the community’s needs, adding tht the people owe the lawmaker much gratitude.
Also, the President-General of the community, Chief Okpa Ibe, represented by his predicessor, Bishop Chidi Obasi, said the boreholes have brought big relief to the people, assuring that they would be protected.
