Two factions of the All Peoples Congress (APC) in Abia State, Saturday, October 16, concluded parallel State Congresses of the party.
The factional Congresses to elect new state executives of the party held at different venues in Umuahia, the state capital.
While the faction led by Honorable Donatus Nwankpa, the current Acting State Chairman, held their congress at Umuahia Township Stadium, the High Chief Ikechi Emenike’s faction conducted theirs at Chidiebere Motors, opposite Holy Rosary Girls Secondary School, all in Umuahia.
The Congress Committee sent by the Abuja National Secretariat of the party and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), however, supervised and monitored the congress of the High Chief Ikechi faction, which produced Chief Enyinnaya Harbour as its Chairman of Abia APC.
