Abia APC fully supports Nwankpa for Nat’lWelfare Secretary- Publicity Secretary
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State has thrown its weight behind the announcement of Abia State pioneer Chairman of the party, Hon. Donatus Nwankpa as the National Welfare Secretary; representing South East in the National Working Committee of the party..
This position was revealed by the State Publicity Secretary of Abia APC , Chief Ezeala Okechukwu who had earlier sent a congratulatory message to Hon. Nwankpa popularly cheered as “Omaraeme 1” due to his leadership charisma over the years.
While debunking certain online article, especially from defunct party scribes or those who have no capacity to speak for Abia APC, Chief Ezeala who has been the most popular political party spokesperson in Abia history lauded the peaceful atmosphere in Abia APC occasioned by the personal sacrifices of Chief Nwankpa and other State Leaders who genuinely worked for President Bola Tinubu and the party against all odds.
The party chieftain dismissed the purported opposition from one Kingsley Ononogbu and Chidi Avaja as laughable and of no consequence , revealing that the duo and co-travellers have long been suspended from the party by their respective Ward Executives for various antiparty activities over four months ago.
In his words ” Kingsley Ononogbu, Chidi Avaja and Obinna Atuonwu were the major albatross of Abia APC in the last three years; who through imposing a notorious guber candidate were regrettably used by the opposition to frustrate our victory chances in the last elections.
These team led Abia APC against Tinubu at APC presidential primaries, openly campaigned against APC Senatorial and House Candidates in the 2023 general elections, before their Ward Executives set up investigative panel, summoned them, had a resolution and consequently suspended them according to party constitution.
