Abia, firm signs MoU to host Turkey – Abia Investment Summit-Product Exhibition

The Abia State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the VEGA Growing Global Enterprise with both parties committing to the successful hosting of the forthcoming Turkey – Abia Investment Summit/Product Exhibition, also known as TURAB 2025.
The international investment summit and exhibition is scheduled to take place at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, between November 25 to 27, 2025.
It is expected to provide an avenue for international and local investors to explore the economic, cultural and investment opportunities in Abia and their many advantages that make the state a preferred investment destination.
At the MoU signing ceremony held in Government House, Umuahia, on Wednesday, August 21, 2025, Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment Promotion and Public – Private Partnership (PPP), High Chief Green-Amakwe, said Abia State government would work tirelessly with its partner, the Vega Global Growing Enterprise, to host a successful investment summit.
High Chief Green-Amakwe, who is also the Chairman, Steering Committee for Turkey -Abia Investment Summit/Product Exhibition 2025, assured of the readiness of the Governor Dr. Alex Otti-led administration to host the summit, adding that the government was committed to creating more favourable investment environment for the people of the state and all investors who would like to identify with Abia.
The Special Adviser, who recalled that, the committee was inaugurated on June 4, this year, and given the assignment to cooperate with Turkey, through the Vega Growing Global Enterprise as a Consultant to hosting the summit, noted that the MoU was significant as it would enable the committee to achieve expected results.
He said that, having drawn the roadmap through the MoU, he expects that “people will put their ideas here towards invitation, towards what they think will make this event a success.”
Contributing, a member of the Committee and Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Kingsley Nwokocha, said that the signing of the MoU was the beginning of the journey of the investment summit.
He emphasized on the need for members to work diligently to ensure that the programme would be a success.
“This MoU is the beginning of the journey of this Turkey – Abia Investment Promotion coming in November. Our works are cut out for us.
“We need to work diligently to make sure that this investment summit is successful. Each and every one of us must work extra hard to make sure that this investment promotion or summit is one of its kind,” Mr. Nwokocha said.
In a vote thanks, the Managing Director, VEGA Growing Global Enterprise, Mr. Eniola Ojajuni, commended Abia State government for the opportunity given to them to work together as partners.
Mr. Ojajun, who described Abia State as the next investment hub in the South East, said that his organisation was poised to enhance investment drive of Abia State, pledging commitment of his firm to ensuring successful hosting of the summit.
