ABSU VC calls for partnerships, receives donation from UK Foundation

Vice-Chancellor, Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU), Professor Onyemachi M. Ogbulu, has appealed to individuals and good-spirited organisations within and outside the country to identify areas they could partner with the institution.
The VC urged then this would go a long way in improving the quality of education at the institution and building lasting relationships with the university.
According to a statement by ABSU Public Relations Officer, Chijioke Nwogu which was made available to The Oracle Today, Prof. Ogbulu made the appeal when he received a donation from a United Kingdom-based foundation.
The foundation known as Fundacion Padre Juan schewk, donated large quantity of books, stationery and office equipment to ABSU, saying that the donation was part of its contribution to the promotion of quality education in the Nigeria.
Receiving the donation on behalf of ABSU Management, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the donor for their kind gesture and assured that the beneficiaries would make good use of the items.
Presenting the materials on behalf of Fundacion Padre Juan schewk, the University Librarian, Professor Udo Nwokocha, explained that the content of the donation include; stationery for University, Secondary and Primary Schools.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellors (DVC) Academic, Professor Godwin Emezue and the DVC, (Administration), Professor Ogbonna Onuoha, were present during the presentation.
