Leadership of Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Anambra says it has the capacity to dislodge the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to win the upcoming governorship election in the State.

Chairman of ADP in the State, Chief Mathias Ameke, who disclosed this in an interview in Awka on Wednesday, the governorship candidate of the party, Hon. Afam Ume-Ezeoke and his running mate, Ms Chinyere Uyanwa have the capacity to defeat other contestants in the election.
He said the party was not contemplating to substitute its gubernatorial candidates, though, noted that anything was possible in politics.
Ameke said Anambra State was bedeviled with a lot of problems, that appeared to be unresolvable, but assured that ADP if elected to power had the capacity to solve the problems.
“Our candidate is flying; and I believe he is putting things together for us to beat the time for campaign. But Anambra State and Nigeria generally are in conundrum; a very difficult situation that appears there won’t be any solution. However, ADP has the solution and is ready to change it.”
Ameke further denied the insinuation in some quarters that ADP was planning to collapse its structures in support of a candidate of another political party, adding, “for now, it is a rumour. We don’t have such plans. But I know that process of scheming is ongoing across all political parties, but no such thing is happening in ADP for now.
“Anything is possible in Nigeria political shenanigans. Anything is possible to Nigerian politicians. But a billionaire can also decide to sponsor someone that will also spring surprises. Our candidate and his deputy are most qualified with capacities to win the poll,” he added.
