Aero denies operating Abuja-Kaduna flights on N14, 000 promo fare
Management of Aero Contractors has denied reports making the rounds on social media claiming a promotional airfare N14, 000 offered by the airline for Abuja-Kadua flights, saying it is not true.
Trips from Abuja to Kaduna have further been compounded following an attack by bandits on the rail shuttle operated by the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).
Suspected bandits had opened fire at a train service on the busy Abuja-Kaduna route, Wednesday, after bombing the rail tracks which had halted the locomotive.
Reacting to the promotional airfare, Friday, Aero said the rumour started spreading on various social media after bandits on Wednesday night, ambushed an Abuja – Kaduna train, causing unprecedented panic in the Kaduna metropolis.
“The management of Aero Contractors refutes the rumour flying on social media about Aero Contractor’s airfare promotion of fourteen thousand Naira (N14,000) from Abuja to Kaduna.
“This rumour started spreading on various social media after bandits on Wednesday night, ambushed an Abuja – Kaduna train, causing unprecedented panic in the Kaduna metropolis.
“We are using this medium to inform the entire public that Aero had earlier suspended operations on that route. We urge our customers to ignore such rumours and get regular updates regarding our routes and fares via our website.
“Aero will continue to maintain its safety records, innovative products and efficient services to our esteemed customers,” the statement read.
