Anambra 2021: APGA leads, as INEC declares results in 12 LGAs

Candidate of the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo may be coasting home with victory if the results of the 11 out of 12 LGAs so far announced by INEC is to be taken into account.
Anambra has a total of 21 LGAs but results of the 12 LGAs had been collected and announced by the Commission before they went on break on Sunday.
The candidate of Young Progressives Party (YPP), Ifeanyi Ubah, won in Nnewi North Local government area.
The Local governments so far declared are: Dunukofia, Awka South,Oyi, Ayamelum, and Anaocha.
Others are: Anambra East, Idemili South, Onitsha South, Njikoka, Nnewi North and Orumba South.
There were complaints of over-voting, violence and non conduct of the election in several registration areas and polling units in several local council areas of the state by agents of political parties.
Cases of voting at areas where elections were not held at all or cancelled were recorded as the electoral and collation officers of the various local governments turned in their reports.
Vice Chancellor of University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Obi is the returning and collation officer of the election.
