Anambra 2021: Ikpeazu, Okowa, Makinde, Shuaibu hail Ozigbo at PDP mega rally in Awka

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday held mega rally in Awka, Anambra State capital, as part of last minutes efforts to deliver its candidate, Valentine Ozigbo, in the November 6, governorship election in the state.
At the rally, the PDP governors vowed to leave no stone unturned until Ozigbo is declared winner in the election coming up on Saturday.
Chairman of Valentine Ozigbo national campaign Council, Chief Okezie Ikpeazu who led Hus colleagues to rally support for Ozigbo, appealed yo the people of Anambra state to vote for their candidate, who described as being humble and trusted.
Ikpeazu noted that the PDP remained the best option for the people of Anambra State.
On his part, Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa also urged the Anambra people to vote for the PDP candidate, adding that the just conducted national convention of PDP was an indication that the PDP was ready to take back power and reposition the country.
Okowa urged the people to be courageous and take back what belonged to them.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, said the PDP candidate was the best for Anambra people and urged them to take wise decision on Saturday.
According to him, this is the time for Anambra people to bind together and youths must take front seat to elect their governor.
Deputy governor of Edo state, Philip Shuaibu who represented his boss appealed to the youths to take their destiny in their own hands.
Also, former governor of Anambra State Mr. Peter Obi urged the Anambra people to take back their state for the hands of those have collapsed it.
Obi noted that the state had not made any progress since he left office as Governor, even as he expressed worry over the debt profile of the state which he said stood at N120m.
In his speech after receiving the party flag from the representative of the national chairman of the party, Ozigbo pledged to implement his manifesto to the latter if elected on Saturday.
He said the rate at which supporters of other political parties were decamping to the PDP was a sign that victory was coming their way.
According to him, everyone in the state is angry and wants something new and that he will give Anambra a new life if he becomes governor.
