Anambra 2021: Ozigbo writes supporters, says ‘PDP will sing victory songs in November’

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mr. Valentine Ozigbo has written to his Party faithfuls and supporters, assuring them that PDP would sing victory songs in the November Governorship election.
Ozigbo said the party had the best candidate with the best of intentions.
“We are strong, we are ready, and we are united. I am confident that we will all join hands in unity towards a purpose greater than one person, and it will end in PDP singing victory songs in November.”
In a letter titled; “Our determined Walk to Agu Awka: Updates and the way forward”, Ozigbo thanked the Party faithfuls for their support, even as he regretted the alteration of his campaign due to court actions.
He thanked the party for finding him worthy to fly the party’s flag in the governorship primary election held on June 26, 2021.
He further apologised for the rescheduling of his campaign activities, and debunked the impression that he did not consult enough before setting up his campaign Council, saying that contrary to insinuations peddled by social media tigers, he consulted widely and was still consulting.
Ozigbo also disclosed that the State PDP party chairman, Chief Ndubisi Nwobu had directed that the local government membership of the Council be widened to accommodate more people with input from NEC, BoT, NASS members, State EXCOS and other leaders.
He reiterated his commitment to keeping to his promise of “carrying along all leaders and stakeholders and keep our party faithful united under the great PDP umbrella; and I am also glad to report to you that we have recorded tremendous successes in this regard.
“As one entrusted with this leadership position by our party, I wish to assure you that I bear the responsibility of being your flag-bearer with the utmost sense of humility and commitment”, he added.
The PDP flag bearer, who described the PDP as a better party, saying, “it has the best human capital, better collective experiences and resources, deeper internal democracy, and a better leadership recruitment process.”
