Anambra anti cult Police nab blind fraudster with magical powers

The Police anti cult operatives in Anambra State have arrested a blind fraudster with his wife in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area if the state.

The suspect, Mr. Tochukwu Ikebuife was said to use magical displays by spitting saliva into the palms of his victims and it comes out through the other side to confound his victims.

Most of the victims are young girls and boys who are sales girls and apprentices serving their masters in different markets in Onitsha.

The suspect, who hails from Ire, Obosi, was said to have defrauded his victims of various sums of money ranging from N500,000 to N5 million. 

The Anti-cult Commander in Enugu-Ukwu, SP Noel Uche, who led the arrest, disclosed the details of the arrest to the National President,  Ndigbo Unity Forum (NUF) Dede Uzor A. Uzor during a visit to the Anti-cult Commander.

Uzor commended the new Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Monday Kunyas and the Commander for the major breathrough in arresting the kingpin and his wife, Nkiru Ikebuife, who was said to be his accomplice.

About seven of the victims were present during the courtesy visit.

The NUF boss admonished the people to be wary of persons  who approach them for assistance, claiming that they came from other African countries Ghana, Togo,Ivory Coast and need help to change their foreign currency.

“People should be careful of such individuals. This is one of their antics.

“I urge the Police to arraign the suspect and his wife to serve as deterrent to others” said Uzor.

They commended Uzor and his team and urged the Police to intensify efforts to arrest five other groups operating from the same Obosi, using cars and tricycles to carry out their criminal acts.
