Anambra indigenes in the Diaspora have expressed delight in the emergence of Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the state’s Governor-elect in the November 6 poll and are ready to support his vision of making the state a liveable and prosperous homeland as he assumes office in few weeks’ time.
Leader of Anambra Diaspora group , Prince Neville Uchendu, popularly known as The Lord Mayor of Atlanta and who is also the Diaspora Deputy Director of All Progressives Grand Alliance in the past election stated this as a guest with Hon. Chinedu Nwoye , Chairman, All Soludo Support Groups (ASSG), and Member Anambra Transition Committee, on a radio programme ” Talk am” aired on Anambra Broadcasting Service, (ABS), 88.5fm, monitored in Awka, Anambra State on Friday, February 11, 2022
Prince Uchendu while responding to questions from the anchors, the duo of Emeka Okeke and Ifeoma Akife , commended the incumbent Governor, Willie Obiano for the great job he has done in the state, stressing that Soludo will consolidate effectively on the gains of the Obiano administration.
On the issue of roads, the Mayor of Atlanta stated that the in-coming government of Soludo will rehabilitate the roads as well as build more, adding that Soludo will expand and interconnect the roads with other fielder roads to decongest traffic logjam and thus make driving in the state pleasurable without stress
He affirmed that Ndi Anambra in the Diaspora are upbeat and fully ready to support Soludo in his laudable quest to making Anambra State a liveable and prosperous homeland.
He added that with the availability of the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport which is now fully operational, Ndi Anambra in the Diaspora will be able to fly down direct without hassles with their goods to do business at home.
He remarked that Anambra people outside the state are not only proud of Soludo but are earnestly willing to give him all the necessary support and cooperation to succeed as the next Governor of the state
On insecurity, Prince Uchendu said Soludo will effectively build on the security architecture on ground to stem the rising insecurity in the state.
He again called on every Ndi-Anambra to support and cooperate fully with Soludo as he takes over the mantle of leadership from Obiano in few weeks from now
Hon. Nwoye who also featured on the radio programme spoke extensively on the issue of insecurity.
He reiterated that Anambra State has been very peaceful until recently when there was an upsurge in insecurity.
He attributed the upsurge to some bad elements who filter into the state from other neighbouring states to unleash havoc and other criminalities in Anambra State.
He said Soludo will not only cage these criminal elements in the state but will ensure, in conjuction, with other state governors in the Eastern Region that all criminalities are rooted out from the region so that the people can go about their normal businesses without fear of attack or molestation and also live peacefully and harmoniously together.
