Anambra Govt declares Thursday, Friday as public holidays ahead Saturday’s governorship poll

Anambra Government has declared Thursday and Friday, this week, as public holidays ‘to allow workers in the state to prepare accurately for the November 6 governorship polls.’

Making the declaration at the Jerome Udeorji Secretariat Complex, Awka, the state capital on the occasion of the 2021 Public Service Day Celebration, Governor Willie Obiano urged the state workers and residents alike, to come out and vote during the election.

This is also the governor assured the worker of his commitment to fulfilling his promises to the state workforce while appreciating them for their support to his administration.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has affirmed its resolve to go ahead with the elections despite growing attacks on security formations by armed groups in the state.
