APC names 1,526-member Committees for National Convention
National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker Committee, Mai Mala Buni has set up 20 sub-committees for the party’s convention scheduled for March 26.
A statement on Thursday by National Secretary of APC Caretaker Committee, John Akpanudoedehe, said the sub-committees would be inaugurated on Monday.
According to the statement, the committees will handle different responsibilities such as election at the convention, election appeals, accreditation, accommodation, transportation, among others.
“After further consultations, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), H.E. (Hon) Mai Mala Buni, has approved the composition of Sub-Committees for the National Convention of the Party,” the statement reads,
“Party members are enjoined to disregard all previous communications on this matter.
“The chairmen and secretaries are hereby invited for inauguration on Monday, 7th March 2022, at 2pm at the national secretariat of our party.”
According to the list, Aminu Masari, Governor of Katsina, will be in charge of the election at the convention ground, while Ovie Omo-Agege, deputy president of the senate, will handle accreditation.
