Black Diamond to invest N1bn in C’River tourism sector

The Black Diamond Beauty Restoration Foundation, a non governmental organisation has unveiled plans to invest one billion naira in a tourism attraction centre in Abia Community.
Abia Community is in Etung LGA in Central Cross River State.
Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of the Foundation, Rev. Black Diamond Agbor, disclosed this Sunday in Càlabar after concluding a meeting with the elders in Council of Abi community in Etung LGA of the state.
The CEO said the project is kick-starting before the end of the year and upon completion of centre tourists would be attracted to the community.
“We are erecting a Traditional Palace that will also serve as a tourist attraction to the area. within the same space, there will be very many other structures like a cultural center, a health center, and a number of facilities that would attract development to the community.
“We are hoping to kickoff the project before the end of the year. We are looking at something close to one billion” he said.
Earlier, during a meeting with the community leaders in Abia village Town Council chairman Matthew Agbor decried the non existence of basic social amenities in thier Community.
He said the state and federal government have neglected them but however expressed happiness over the proposed tourists attraction centre in the community stressing that with the centre, development would definitely visit the community.
