BRITTANIA-U says FPSO fire is under control

Indigenous independent energy company, Brittania-U, has declared that the fire incident on operated floating production system offshore Niger Delta has been brought under control.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Uju Ifejika, stated that the fire incident occurred occurred on Thursday at its Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Facility.
The company stated that the facility is situated at the former OML 90 field, now PML 6, offshore Ogulagha Kingdom offshore Warri, Delta State.
“The Company has commenced a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire incident and will share further updates with the public as soon as possible.
“Brittania -U Management wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Shell, the Nigerian Navy, NUPRC, NNPCL, NIMASA, and all well-meaning Nigerians who showed support during fire outbreak,” she declared.
