Confusion, as Nigerians call ‘Obidient’ man ejected from Ibom Air flight ‘an APC agent’
Nigerians, Saturday, took to the Twitter social media platform to provide proof that the Unruly male passenger ejected from an Ibom Air Lagos-Abuja flight to Lagos on Friday claiming to be a supporter of the Labour Party (LP) Movement and that of its Presidential candidate in the February 25 election, Dr Peter Obi, is an agent of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) previously spotted in an old viral video causing voter intimidation in Ebonyi State.
This is also as management of the Ibom Air has stated its own side of the story on the ugly incident which caused a delay on its scheduled Abuja-Lagos flight, last Friday, saying an unruly passenger disrupted flight operations and had to be removed from the plane.
According to various Twitter accounts monitored by Oracle Today newspaper, the LP supporters, also known as Obidients, claim the man ejected from the Ibom Air flight was an imposter, just as they also allege that he has earlier in the year been busted posing a Peter Obi supporter in a video meant to intimidate Labour Party supporters and voters in Ebonyi State.
Among the LP supporters who claimed to know the man’s real identity is contemporary Afrobeat star, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P of the famous PSquare music duo, who maintains that the ejected passenger is the same person who appeared in the viral Ebonyi video posted before the commencement of the General Elections.
This is even as an online newspaper had also alleged that the same man was spotted wearing a T-shirt with the picture of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Enugu State, Peter Mbah, only recently.
Mr P who described the scene of Friday’s ejection as ‘drama,’ to back the Department of State security (DSS) allegations of plot by Nigerian politicians to install an interim government in the country, added that the said man was sent by the APC.
It would be recalled that the DSS, had in a statement released by its spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, last week, alerted of an plot to install an interim government in the country by those opposed to the inauguration Bola Tinubu as president on May 29, this year, warning those desperate to cause a breakdown of law and order to desist from the plan.
The Ibom Air unruly passenger had allegedly stood on the aisle of the plane to declare that the President-elect, Bola Tinubu must not be sworn-in on May 29 and president, adding that the latter did not win the February 25 election.
While being dragged off the plane by airport security operatives, the man kept shouting and urging other presumed Labour Party and Obi supporters with: “Obidients you’re here. They are doing this to me. Obidients you’re here, I am naked. Obidients you’re here, I am going naked.
“I am a PhD holder in law and I will keep saying what I said (that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not be sworn-in as the 16th president of Nigeria).
“Will you all watch me being stripped naked without doing anything?”
However, a passenger on the flight responded to him saying, “sir, you have to go to court and say this, not in a plane.”
While also many Nigerians, including chieftains and supporters of the APC, roundly condemned the act on Friday, those of the LP emerged on Saturday to show proof that what transpired on the Ibom Air airplane was ‘staged’ by the ruling party, who, according to one Twitter user had quoted comments credited to the Minister of State for Labour and employment, and spokesperson for the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mr Festus Keyamo, who had vowed ‘to match propaganda for propaganda.’
Peter Okoye’s tweet posted via his Twitter handle (@PeterPsquare) Saturday, read:
“BUSTED!
“So APC used the same man twice in their drama! dead on arrival”
The singer had earlier posted a tweet which read:
“This people have no shame! we thought we’ve seen it all after the FAKE BISHOPS!
“The truth about APC Propaganda is finally OUT. watch next video see d same guy on both videos“APC Propaganda is dead on arrival
“MrP”
Other Obidients who had also weighed in on the matter.

He was shouting “Obidients” on a plane, trying to paint us as ruffians. Guess what? Nobody listened to him. APC your attempt at hitting another propaganda only ended in a poorly acted skit. A party that has Toyin Abraham yet can’t scout for good actors shouldn’t be taken serious!

This Man Was Shouting ‘Tinubu Can’t Be Sworn In as President’ On A Plane
He is NOT an Obidient
He Was Planted By the Desperate & Despicable Children of the Corn
So they Can Blame Obidients
They Have Failed Woefully! 🔥

Meanwhile, also reacting, Ibom Air apologised to its passengers for the incident which occurred on its scheduled Abuja-Lagos flight operations.
The airline’s Group Manager, Marketing and Communication, Aniekan Essienette, in a press statement posted on their Twitter page on Saturday, addressed the incident, saying the flight’s crew deemed the man’s ‘continuous unruly behaviour unsafe and called on airport security to help with the situation.’
“We wish to inform the public about an incident on our 6 pm flight from Abuja to Lagos on Friday, 31 March 2023.
“A passenger stood up and began addressing other passengers in a manner considered inappropriate and unruly, as he was making other passengers nervous.
“Our crew deemed his continuous unruly behaviour unsafe and called on airport security to help with the situation. Upon his refusal to stop or disembark peacefully, the security operatives were left with no choice but to forcefully disembark the passenger as a last option.
“We are aware that several videos and reports of this incident are circulating on social media and wish to provide the right perspective.
“Ibom Air wishes to assure our passengers that we maintain very high safety and service standards and will never compromise the safety and security of our passengers.
“We apologise to the affected passengers for the time it took to disembark this passenger, which caused an otherwise on-time departure to be delayed by an hour,” read Ibom Air’s statement.
