Umahi said, “When you see the caliber of Igbo Leaders that are here, we should be happy that we are going back to play the role of Igbo man. An Igbo man is known for playing the politics of the Centre.”
“The only way we can grow APC in the South East is to have respect for one another, nobody can do this work alone. 99% of the Leaders of Ebonyi State are here. The spirit of I can do it alone should be jettisoned, otherwise, of what use is ruling the party if you can’t win elections. So if we have to win elections, then you have to carry everyone along. Everybody is important.
“In our Local Government Congresses, everybody is going back to their Local Government Areas and they share the position across the Wards. If we are together, we can win elections, let us stop castigating ourselves. The Igbo man is becoming a laughing stock in our Nation Nigeria.
He also appealed to the members of the Party to sheath their swords and support Senator Andy Uba in the upcoming election in Anambra State to enable him to come out of the outing victorious.
“On Anambra elections, I want to appeal that when Mr. President raises anyone’s hand, everyone should surrender.”
